    The Director of Clinical Operations will be responsible for program development, implementation, and management of outpatient clinical services and behavioral health services within the agency and in public and private schools.  This position will have extensive supervisory responsibility and program oversight.  This position will be a member of the leadership team.

    Responsibilities

    As the champion of clinical services, the Director supports our dynamic agency with accountability in the following areas:

    • Provides leadership and ensures the application of clinical practices in support of high quality care in collaboration with the Director of Quality Management and Chief Operations Officer.
    • Partners with leadership and staff to evolve an effective interdisciplinary team.
    • Provides supervision and direction to the clinical team leaders and coordinators.
    • Oversees day-to-day operations of the outpatient clinical staff which includes staff clinicians, crisis services clinicians and school-based services.
    • Assists in the design/program development, implementation and management of behavioral health services within the agency and public and private schools.
    • Supports the School Liaison Team Leader to develop, coordinate, and integrate policies and programs to ensure behavioral health support for the schools.
    • Follow program policies/procedures and evaluate mechanisms to ensure consistency with regulatory laws and standards.
    • Participates in the development and execution of the agency strategic plan.
    • Works proactively to develop clinical programming to meet community needs.
    • Ensures overall clinical, operational and fiscal goals are met for the department.
    • Provides clinical oversight of clinical cases and direct treatment among multiple Family Service & Guidance Center providers. Aids in shaping the treatment philosophy and goals of the agency in line with best clinical practices.

    Qualifications

    Education/Licensure:

    • Master’s degree in a recognized mental health discipline
    • Valid license as a mental health professional to practice in the state of Kansas desirable, but not required
    • Active membership in professional organizations strongly encouraged

    Experience:

    • At least 3 years of experience in senior leadership role
    • Experience managing large department of clinical staff required
    • Experience with outpatient clinical therapy and school-based services and programs is preferred
    • Experience serving as a community liaison preferred
    • Experience working with managed care companies helpful
